Gingerbread Man Treat Holders

This little Gingerbread Man treat holder is so simple thanks to the design of the Gingerbread Man dies from Stampin' Up! The main Gingerbread man is a double, with two gingerbread men connected at the hands, perfect for a cute card but also works great for a treat holder!

I used some Gingerbread Biscotti because they were pre-packaged and fit nicely. I may look for some other gingerbread treats.  I placed a strip of adhesive down under the biscotti to hold it in place.

Joy of Noel Stamp

I finally made my first Christmas card of the season!  And of course I had to watercolor it!  I used the Joy of Noel stamp set and made several versions in Real Red and Shaded Spruce.

I started by embossing the main image with gold embossing powder.  Then I messy painted the Shaded spruce over the image, avoiding the red berry areas.

Once dry I went back in and re-painted the leaves and holly to darken just those areas. I then painted the red berries.

I embossed the Joyous Sentiment with gold embossing powder as well.

For this second version I embossed the image and sentiment in black embossing powder.  I colored the image the same way as the Shaded Spruce card.

For this version I added some die cuts from the Joy Of Noel die set in gold foil and shaded spruce.

On this version I repeatedly stamped one of the background images on a scrap of watercolor paper and then spritzed it with water to smudge it a bit.

I have a full length video for these cards on my YouTube channel.

which color do you think looks best?

Cottage Wreaths Bundle

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a cards straight out of the pages of the July to December mini catalog. I thought it looked like a fun card so I just had to make one for myself.

See how to video with measurements here:

The Red Glimmer Paper and Red Basic Jewels add a nice sparkle to the card. It really is a simple one to make, but it looks fantastic in real life.

Peace and Joy Bundle from Stampin' Up!

I absolutely love the Peace and Joy bundle!  The stamps are great and I just LOVE the word dies!!

The size on the words is so great because they are perfect for both cards and scrapbook pages.

Here is a close up of the stamp set.  I love that you can combine the larger word stamps with the smaller sentiments to create exactly the combination that you want.  The Big Holly pieces and branches, as well as the snowflakes, are all perfect for creating a nice background or accent.

The dies are what really do it for me though.  Take a look! There is a large outline that you can use to cut out the stamped words, or use it as a mat layer with the thinner word dies.  You can even do three layers in various fun holiday colors!

Take a look at the tag on this box.  The large 'Bright' has been stamped on to Real Red cardstock with White Embossing Powder and then cut out using the outline die.  I love the holly and pine needles stamped behind.

On this card, all three sizes of word dies were used.  The largest cut out in Real Red, the second cut from Cherry Cobbler and then the thinnest cut from Gold Foil paper.

This card does the triple layers as well, with Night of Navy, Silver Foil and Pool Party.   The fun snowy background paper is from the Trimming the Town designer series paper.

Here the smaller two word dies are layered in Real Red and Whisper White.  I love the sequins for the berries.

This last card uses the stamp image in Real Red on Whisper White cardstock and then cut with the dies. I love the twinkle background.

The Stampin' Up! Artisan Team did a Blog hop using this bundle and what they came up with is AMAZING.  You can see them all here on this Pinterest Board.   They were so creative with colors and style that I really hope you check them out!  Look for Martin's Fabulous cards in Black and White.
