More Than Autumn bundle!

I just love this new bundle from Stampin' Up!  I am first in line for Pumpkin Spice! and who doesn't love a hot cocoa on a cold winter day?  And any time I see a coffee cup in a stamp set, it goes right into my shopping cart!!  Just look at all the fun elements! candy canes, gingerbread man, donuts!!

I love the mix and max of all the sentiments too! "Love you more than..." and "You had me at..." are my favorites.

At my last Card Buffet I offered a pumpkin spice version and a hot cocoa version.  The most popular was the pumpkin spice! That surprised me, but it was late October so maybe that's why.  If I had offered them in late November or December I bet the hot cocoa version would have taken the lead.

This card also uses the Leaf Fall embossing folder. I sponged on top of the embossed areas to make the leaves stand out even more.

The cups are stamped on Iconic Celebrations Designer Series Paper. The leaves are Pumpkin Pie (of course), Crushed Curry and Copper Clay.

The Hot Cocoa version is on a Poppy Parade base with a strip of Poppy Parade Designer paper from the 6x6 Brights Pack.

I stamped the coffee cups on a scrap of patterned paper in Garden Green. I colored the candy canes and gingerbread man with markers.

Here is the catalog sample! So fun.  I love the details of the cinnamon stick, the little pumpkin, donuts! All the favorites of fall.

This next catalog sample uses the cocoa words. This card is a shaker with little gingerbread men and candy canes floating around. Really fun!!

Here is a how to for the cards I made.

A cup of Cheer

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing another card from my last Card Buffet! I just love coffee and hot chocolate and all things like it, so when I saw the Coffee Cafe set in the new Annual Catalog, it was one of the first things I ordered.  Then when I saw the companion set, Mery Cafe, in the Holiday Catalog, I was in love again.  The Merry Cafe set is only available for a limited time, so you need to act fast to get this one. The Holiday catalog ends December 31st, but the retiring stamps are 'while supplies last'.   The Coffee Cafe and matching Coffee cups dies are in the annual catalog, so they will be around until May.   Save 10% if you buy the Coffee Cafe and Coffee Cup dies as a bundle.
Here is a short video on how to put the card together.

And check out these other fun images from the catalog!

Happy Birthday Shaker card with Coffee Cafe!

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing a fun card that involves two of my favorite things.  Coffee and Cupcakes.  I know you don't see the coffee in this picture, but it's there, in the form of the dies.  They are from the Coffee Cups Framelits and I just love them. I am really loving the Coffee Cafe suite and stamps as well.  For this card the die that would normally be the coffee cup band that keeps your hands from getting burned is the cupcake wrapper, and the whipped cream die is now the frosting.
As you can see, the card is a shaker card and I want to point out that the sequins I used are older retired sequins, BUT they are on the Clearance rack right now for $2.20 and they are just lovely don't ya think?  There are several varieties of sequins on sale at the clearance rack, as well as ribbon and Washi tape and dies and more.  It's always a good idea to take a  look and see what's there.

Here is a quick video to show how it all came together, with a few tips and tricks. I hope you like it.

Painting with Coffee

Yesterday was my birthday and I spent part of the day with the kiddos and part of the day out on a date night with my hubby, but I also spent part of the day on my own doing what I like to do, which is creating something with my own two hands.  I share my birthday with my niece Maggie.  I remember when Maggie was about to be born my sister was asking if I would be happy or upset if we shared a birthday. Happy of course! And for more than the obvious reason of sharing a day with someone you love.  On my 16th birthday I lost my grandpa. Not just a family member you see once and a while but one I saw weekly my whole life until then and he was truly a wonderful grandpa, complete with the tricks of wiggly dentures he would move up and down to scare us,  fun bedtime stories, days at the lake and family dinners on Sunday. I was too sad that day to even celebrate my birthday and for years afterwards I would always remember him on my birthday and be a bit sad. i thought, why on my birthday?  But then I realized that it was actually a good day, because I will truly never forget him because of it. And I don't want to forget, so instead of being sad I realized I needed to be thankful and happy for his role in my life.  And then, many years later, I wont say how many :)   my sister had a baby girl on my birthday and I got to be there for her birth and I will always have that to remember on my birthday as well.
Maggie is currently working as a Barista, and she loves to paint.  So for her birthday card I knew it had to be a coffee painted birthday card.  I hope she liked it and her gift.
I know that it doesn't look like a Stampin' Up! project, and mostly it's not, but the paper is! as well as the Happy Birthday! And I used my Stampin' Up! Aqua Painters, so that is my excuse for posting it!

To paint with coffee I dry it out over a few days in a pallet to make my own coffee paint pots,  Shown are my coffee and Tazo Passion Tea paints.  The Stampin' Up! Aqua Painters are great and even though I have tons of paint brushes and many sizes, I just reach for the Aqua Painter, look at the tiny candle to see the detail you can achieve with it. I hope you will give Aqua Painters a try!!
Thanks for stopping by today!
