Adorable Hedgehog card!

When I first got the new Annual Catalog from Stampin' Up! one of the first stamps I fell in love with was 'Walk in the Woods'.  Mostly because of the adorable hedgehog! It is just so cute! I like the mushrooms too, and the art style of the images, but that hedgehog!! Had to have him.

I started by first making a card pretty much copied right out of the catalog, but then I branched out and made a whole bunch more!

This video shows you several of the cards I came up with, as well as how to make them.

I really enjoyed playing around with this cute stamp set.   I made sure to use all of the images and most of the sentiments. I made some very simple and some with a little more work. I hope you enjoy them! Which do you like the best?

Guest tutorial writer ~ Coffee Painting

Hi everyone.  I was honored to be asked once again to make a tutorial for SplitcoastStampers, one of my all time favorite websites! This time they asked me to make a tutorial for a card I made a few years back where I painted with coffee!  I love painting with coffee, maybe it's the smell that it gives off while I work or just that it's my favorite drink, but it's a fun idea and people get a kick out it when they receive a coffee painted card, so I just love doing it.  I hope that you will give it a try.

You can find my tutorial here at the SplitcoastStampers website. https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/coffeepainting  There are step by step instructions as well as a video that I made.
If you do give it a try, please add your creation to the gallery, I would love to see it!
My tutorial card uses a stamp called Coffee Cafe by Stampin' Up!.   I also made another card by just painting free hand.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial, leave me some love if you check it out!

Guest Tutorial Writer

Hi Everyone! I am super happy to be a guest tutorial writer at SplitcoastStampers.com.  I have loved this site for about 13 years and use their tutorials and gallery all the time for inspiration, so being a part of it is just a thrill.
I was asked to share the Dappled Sky Technique.  This is a fun and EASY watercolor background that gives you really fun results.   This is the card I did for my tutorial.  I hope that you will check it out, and maybe give me some love in the comments 'cause it's my first guest spot and maybe they'll invite me back :)  Check it out by clicking the link.

And here are some other samples I made with this technique!
This is one I made this past Christmas. Instead of using the whole background, I punched out a circle for a fun winter scene.
When I made this background it said space to me.  So I made a moon to go along with it.  I made the moon by punching a circle out of watercolor paper, then getting it wet with a little Smokey Slate.  Next I flicked more Smokey Slate on top for the fun moon caters and texture.

The Weather Together set is perfect for this technique.

On this one I just made a small strip of the technique in Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry and then cut it out with the Tail from the Fox Builder Punch.
On this one I used Pear Pizzazz and Pool Party and used it as water.
And on this last version I used Tranquil Tide for the background, then flicked  Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist on top.

Let me know what you think!
I have another older video on my YouTube Channel that shows this technique on even more samples.  you can see it here...

Don't forget, Sale-a-Bration is going on now.  This is a great time to get those colors you don't have or some Ink Refills.  Stock up on Cardstock or get some coloring tools like the Aqua Painter and try out a new technique.  Get a FREE Sale-a-Bration product with ever $50 you spend, or a level 2 product with a $100 order.  Get even more the more you spend.  Download the Sale-a-Bration catalog on the right side of my blog. This Little Piggy, No line Watercoloring

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to show you this super fun new stamp set called This Little Piggy!  I was lucky enough to receive this set at the Stampin' Up! On Stage event this past April! So Fun! It's such a cute set and I couldn't wait to ink it up!

My favorite pig from this set is the flying pig.  I love the saying that goes with it, "She Believed She Could, So She Did."  I have a little wall art with that saying in my craft room, so I knew that was the pig to use first.   I decided to make a big of a whimsical card, with the cut out words and the watercolor background.  This would be cute note card to send to a girl friend or even a cute note card set as a gift.
I used the No-Line water coloring technique on this card.  This is a fun look and easily achieved. I used Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party markers to ink up the pig image, then stamped onto watercolor paper.  I then used Aqua Painters and the same color ink to color in the pig.
Check out the video below to see the process step by step.
